All I could think while I was reading this was that Kara’s books are like good dark chocolate: they are a little sweet, completely satisfying, and always the right choice no matter what I’m in the mood for! I’ve only read two of the three she’s written, but they are more than just fun, funny, romantic comedies because they are also filled with people working out what God means in their lives and relationships in a real, natural way. I love books that show real people–wounded, imperfect–who love God but still wrestle with real questions about love and faith.

I would say more, but I don’t feel a need to rehash the back cover and I certainly don’t want any spoilers here. I just want to extend a recommendation to read Kara Isaac’s wonderful book if you enjoy inspirational romance with a lot of humor, love, and heart.
This is my honest book review. And you can bet that I’ll be pre-ordering the next book she comes out with as soon as I can! She also has two other books, Can’t Help Falling and Close to You. I’ve only read Can’t Help Falling, so I’m seeing a back-list book on my to-be-read file soon!
How about you? Have you read anything lately that you’d like to recommend? Any genre, but preferably “clean” fiction, please. I love to hear what everyone’s reading!
Updated: This book just won the Romance Writers of America 2018 RITA award for “Romance with Religious or Spiritual Elements”. So apparently I’m not the only person who loved this book. Go get a copy and read it now!
