For the last few years I’ve gotten on the bandwagon of choosing a word to try and live into through the coming year. I’m not entirely sure that I’ve done a great job of it, but I love the idea of having something like a yearly “north star” to try and direct some of my energy and focus.

As I was planning out my year and my writing, I started to notice that the word “connection” kept showing up. I rolled it around in my head for awhile and I began to see how much I am craving connection in its various forms. I want to spend more time physically with the people I love, being present with them both physically and mentally and I want to more intentionally connect with Jesus.

So, if you haven’t guess already, my word for 2020 is CONNECTION.

This is first year I’ve also chosen a verse–or in my case, a chapter–to live into as well. I chose PSALM 23. These verses speak of the deep love and connection and commitment of the Shepherd to His sheep. I want so much to be a better sheep this year 🙂

How about you? Do you choose a word? Or a verse? If you did, I’d love to hear about it and why. Leave a comment or send me an email using the contact form. Let’s connect LOL!
